A Class 4 MOT costs £54.85 but to stay competitive we charge £40 for a fair test.
Should the vehicle fail we will talk you through the refusal and what needs to be done to pass. You can choose where the work will be carried out, and if the car is presented for re-test within 10 working days there is no additional charge.
We have the facilities to carry out remedial work for you and can provide a quote on request.
Any advisories from the test will be explained so that you can plan, budget and prioritise what is needed to keep you safe on the road.
REMEMBER you can have your car tested 30 days before the certificate expires without affecting the anniversary date - and this gives you time to correct any issues whilst still being legal on the road. A car without an in-date test is not legal on the road so please avoid leaving the MOT until the last possible day.
If your car has already run out of test, call to book in having your vehicle registration available. You can check the renewal date of your MOT and road tax by visiting the government page . Go to https://www.gov.uk/get-vehicle-information-from-dvla (see button on left).
If you have access to the log book you can even look at the MOT history of your car since 2005, including fails and advisories. Go to https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history-vehicle (see button on left).
Should you have a pre-MOT check. The short answer is no. There are some unscrupulous garages out there who will gladly have you purchasing a new exhaust, tyres, brakes that are just not needed. Only the MOT tester can decide what is a pass or a fail. The best way forward is to have the MOT and then see what, if anything, needs to be done.
